WHO WE ARE
Together We Rescue Detroit Animals is a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) foster rescue dedicated to saving dogs and cats who need us most.
We don't cherry pick easy cases - we take medical cases, senior animals, dogs with behavioral challenges that other rescues turn away.
Every animal in our care receives medical attention, professional training, and a foster home where they can heal and thrive.
We remain dedicated to helping Detroit animals, but we are animal advocates everywhere. Because a life worth saving doesn't have a zip code.
We are licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and operate with complete transparency and accountability.
OUR PROMISE AT TWRDA
Training First.
Every dog in your care works with our professional training partner. We don't just place dogs - we prepare them for long term success. This prevents returns and sets families up to thrive.
Every animal with our rescue stays in our rescue. No animal is ever surrendered to another shelter for any reason. Once a TWRDA dog, always a TWRDA dog.
We take the dogs other rescues won't - heart worm positive, behavioral challenges, senior dogs with medical needs. We don't cherry pick easy cases. We show up for the hardest ones.
Lifelong Commitment.
Complex Cases Welcome.
